*Color of outside packaging mimicks product.

 

Scent:

*Pleasant smell, I personally love the smell of this.

*It does linger for a bit and fades after a bit.

 

Product:

*Has a liquid consistency

*small white beads (color beads)

*Works best when fingers used to apply it to the face.
   I have tried it with a beauty sponge, but I feel I can break down the color beads
   better with my hands then with the beauty sponge or a stippling brush..

*Light coverage

*Can also be used just as a primer.

*I apply it in sections, I start with my neck and work my way up.

                                     (I'll explain in the cons why)

 

Cons:

*Product dries, I don't want to say it dries to fast, but between this and
  New York Color's Skin Matching Foundation, New York Colors foundation
  dries faster than this.

*If you have some on your hands that has dried and you apply it to your face

  it will clump up.

 

Would I recommend this:

* yes I would recommend this, if you have a sensitive face

   (Before I bought this I researched it and some had a burning sensation,

    so air on the side of caution)

*For some the light coverage is a con.

  (I have some acne scarring and I use a concealer before hand)

St. Patrick's Day Nail Designs

 

My second favorite holiday is St.Patrick's Day

it's my birthday holiday. I cannot draw for the life

of me, so I try to stick with designs that are

easy to do for me.

 

Here is what did...

 

Step 1: Apply basecoat..

I use Jordana's Nails be Stronger..

       The second is my Topcoat New York Color

                                                         Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish..

Step 2: Apply Background Colors

 

For the light blue color on my thumb design I mixed
Sally Hansen's Brisk Blue

&

Sinful Colors in Snow Me White

 

For the flag of Ireland on my index finger I used

New York Color Minute Quick Dry in Pumpkin

Sinful Colors in Snow Me White

Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Going Green

I did this applying each color and waiting for it to dry

before I applied the next color.

 

I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear in Going Green

for my ring finger..

I used Sally Hansen's Spring Green for

both my Middle Finger and Pinky.

 

After you have applied all of the background colors

wait an hour before applying anymore colors.

I used my blow drier on the cool setting

to help speed up the process, using the

cool setting will lessen the chances of

chipping.

Step 3 Apply Designs

For my thumb I used

Rainbow Colors

Sally Hansen in Rapid Red

NYC Minute Quick Dry in Pumpkin

Jordana Pop Art Nail Design in Express In Yellow

Jordana Pop Art Nail Design in Define Green

 

For the Pot Of Gold I used Nicole by OPI in Disco Dolls

&

NYC Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in Blackula

 

For My Middle Finger:

 I used Disco Dolls and

applied it using a dotting tool, if you dont have one

a bobby pin will work as well, or a paper q-tip cut in half.

 

Ring Finger:

Using Disco Dolls I appllied this color first for

the gold buckle let it dry and used the Art Deco

Nail color in black for the ribbon..

 

For My Pinky:

Using the Nicole by Opi in Disco Dolls for the french tip.

And the Pop Art Nail Color in Express in Yellow...

if you are drawing challenged hahaha you can also

use a four leaf clover nail decal.

Materials Needed :

 

*Aloe Vera Gel
*Vaseline
*Almond Oil/Olive Oil

*Vitamin E Oil

*Castor Oil

*Small bottle(nail polish, travel size shampoo bottle)

*unused mascara wand/spoolie

 

 

Beauty Benefits:
Vitamin E Oil- The beauty benefits of Vitamin E oil are many such as a moisturizer
for dry skin, helps reduce the appearance of scars,acne, freckles, and fine lines.And is the key ingrediant in anti aging creams that help with wrinkles, strengthen nails, and for soft & shiny hair.Both capsule and liquid forms are available in most stores. And for this mixture it will help keep your eyelashes moisturized.

Aloe Vera:

Aloe Vera with its many beauty benefits, aloe vera promotes hair growth, and

  about a quarter full so I just used more..

I have been using the Wet N Wild's Clinical mascara and my lashes have grown, but I would like to see if they would grow a little bit more, so a co-worker of mine recommended this method...and Im hoping this works..so I thought I would document it here on my blog with updates and pictures every month..

Before using Avalon Organics, I used St.Ives green tea cleanser,
but I found out that st.ives is not a cruelty free company and is now owned
by Unilever. The first thing I was about to run out of was the above mentioned

st.ives cleanser, so I started on a search for a cruelty free cleanser and came upon this brand

from the leaping bunny list is cruelty free products.

It's a thick gel, so a little bit goes a long way...

I love the way it leaves my skin feeling soft, cleansed, and leaves my skin with a nice glow after.

Does a great job of removing makeup.
Does not leave my face feeling dry, and no flimy residue after it's rinsed off.
Great for all skin types, And has helped clear up little blemishes that I had.

Natural product without the harmful chemicals..

 

Scent:
The Scent is not overpowering.
The orange scent does lessen during use..

 

How I use it:

I prefer to use it at night only before bed.
I have Combination oily skin, if I wash over wash my face, my skin reacts to the dryness by    producing more oils to compensate.
A small pump of this goes along way and lathers well.
If Im wearing liquid eyeliner I use one pump for my eyes alone and another for the rest of my face.

 

Would I recommend this Product ?

Yes, it works for all skin types.
If you are sensitive to smells I would air on the side of caution...

Packaging:

*I like the packaging.

      *Different color for each collection, easier to shop just a matter of looking for your color.

      *Lettering has peeled off of mine (I keep mine in the shower I'm assuming its the steam
        from the hot water)

Smell:

I find the scent pleasant its not OMG!! this smells amazing, but its not gah!! this is awful either. The conditioner definitely smells the best out of the two.

Does it live up to its claims ?

* I used to use Garnier Fructis (avocado, shea and ? ) And it really helped with my dry scalp

* Other shampoos & conditioners (suave, vo5,dove, pantene) left my scalp dry and itchy.

* Does it get rid of the frizz completely ? No
  But it does calm the frizzies down significantly. And I don't have to blow dry my hair
  anymore since the frizzies are under control.

*Does it protect from heat damage ?

  Not applicable. I cut my hair September of 2012 and I have significantly cut back on
  using a blow dryer, straightener & curler.

* Doesn't lather a lot, (shampoos that lather a lot are not good for your hair)
  it does take some getting used to. After I finish putting the shampoo in my hair I add a

  little water and it gives me a little bit of a lather.

 

 

My Hair after using this :

 * My waves & curls are more defined vs. one big puff lol.

 *Leaves my hair feeling clean without the greasy feeling. 

 *I have noticed the longer I have left the conditioner in the shinier it is.

  *I started using this shampoo & conditioner because I wanted more shine

  to my lackluster hair, cruelty free shampoo and conditioner. Plus it's made

  in the USA.

 

Would I recommend this :

 

*Yes, for me the product lived up to all of it's claims (with the exception of one that was not

  applicable in this case).

*I would recommend this more for those with dry scalp problems like I do, even cutting back

on using heat styling I still have dry scalp.

*Please remember that yes I can recommend this but everyone's hair responds differently to

  products.

*I had been wanting to try something new but I was afraid it wouldn't work for me, trying

  new products always has some chance/risk to it...and I'm glad I took a chance on this...( I

  thought of Abba as I wrote that last line..lol).
